It's no longer like this.

Sadly, we took down our Christmas stuff yesterday, but I can still enjoy it in pictures. Our ceilings were so tall, we were worried that our tree would look tiny, but we found that we could put it in the arches and it fit very nicely. It was also our first year to have our stockings hung on a mantle, we even had a fire... though there was talk about turning on the a/c to get the temp down.

Yummy! Christmas cookies, cookies shaped like candycanes, christmas trees, stars and christmas spiders! :)

We love celebrating boxing day, why not extend christmas to another day! I laughed at our very non-British dinner of chicken enchaladas, beans and homemade toritillas.

Who wants to eat British food anyway? I suppose you could have put some corn and peas in the enchaladas and served it with goose liver or something...mmmm... liver...AAGHHH...

Believe it or not, Heidi's family has a tradition of Mexican food at Christmas. Her grandmother is from Las Cruces.

Christmas spiders...yes...that's traditional, too.
