Sorry, not that exciting.

Nope, not that exciting, but it's better then nothing.

Here are a couple of things we've been doing.

Ian is almost 6 and I'm having a hard time coping with my baby getting so big.  He loves to talk and he tells the most amazing stories,. His problem is that he has a hard time doing anything when he talks.  So all actives take him 10x longer if he has something to say.  He asks the funniest and most in-depth questions. He is always willing to try things (which is so different from his brother, it's quite refreshing). He will try any new food, and he's not afraid to do scary stunts outside or on a bike (yep, he's going to break a bone sooner or later). The past week Ian got Influenza A, it's been a very hard week for him.  I've officially been freaked out by 104 degree fevers for over 5 days. Today he topped 105, ugh, we're all hoping for a recovery soon.

Jason is busy with second grade, he's a great student.  I'm so impressed with Jason's Math and Reading skills, he takes after his father (I most definitely did not do division or matrices in second grade).  He just got his Bobcat badge in Cub Scouts, and he was really excited about it.  Jason is so funny.  He is so comfortable talking to adults (something I could never do as a kid, and still have a hard time doing even as an adult).  Everywhere we go he talks to people (he still has a good sense of stranger danger) but I love that he's outgoing and friendly to adults.  Matt and I joke that Jason inherited the quirkiest things from both of us. He sure is weird, but he has the biggest heart ever!

I'm busing living my "fantasy camp" life, as Matt calls it.  This week (before Ian got sick) I did a 41 mile bike ride!  I'm working on 2 quilts, one with the top almost complete and the other in pre-planning mode.  I have to put them on hold for a few weeks, as my sewing room is our guest room and we're expecting visitors to our new house.  I think I might just be the luckiest lady around, oh and I'm most definitely dumber then my 2nd grader (who, by the way doesn't hesitate to tell me)!

Matt is my hero.  He's hard working, he holds the house together and he gives me everything I want, and he picks up my slack (mostly household duties).   Matt just finished painting the house, what an ordeal!  We painted the entire interior, we went through more than 30 gallons of paint, and he did it all by himself.  He did get desperate at the end and asked for my help (which if you know Matt is serious, he doesn't let just anyone paint with him).  We are really enjoying the house. There are still a few more things that we want to get, but we are loving our home.  Of course I don't know what I'm talking about, but from my end Matt is doing great at work. I'm so proud, and he seems to really be liking what he is doing.  Matt even finds the time to play his music (although, I think he  wishes he had more time for it).  He also has his first half marathon next weekend! I'm excited to cheer him on! Go Matt go!
