After Hours at the Zoo!

Saturday we went to the Zoo! I wanted to see the new ostrich, we stood and watched those funny birds for a long time, I appreicated the one that paused to get a picture with my boys! Who knew they were such divas!

One of my favorite parts of the zoo is the repitle house, as it happended the reptile house was closed for a private event (which we were invited to!) My Aunt Pat was having a her birthday party in the reptile house, because if you're 6 or 60 the zoo is a perfect place to have a party!  We had such a fun time, there was plenty of time to view the animals, we visited, we ate and ate and ate, and we played!  The reptiles really came to life at night, it was fun to see them moving around.
One of the highlights was getting to hold the python (or rather the python holding me!) He's got a good hold on my right hand!

The birthday girl got a chance to hold him too.

The reptile handler brought out a few different animals, very educational, and interesting!  I learned that the 2 black mambas at the zoo were "like giant earth worms" Sure they can kill you with a bite, but they were very calm and interested in everything. Plus the boys got stuffed snakes of their own (which they love).  It was loads of fun!

Maybe too much fun!

I really liked the ostrich leaning its head to the ground to scratch its face with its foot. Crazy animals.
